Winter Wellbeing gets a boost

Our Winter Wellbeing Festival took place at Islington Assembly Hall on Monday 20th March and was an opportunity for the people of Islington to find out more about health and wellbeing.
Over 250 attended the Festival on a damp and blustery day, but the atmosphere inside the Hall was warm and upbeat. Throughout the event there were 20-minute taster sessions ranging from salsa line dancing, yoga, dancing and exercise to poetry and singing. There were 32 information stalls promoting Islington-based health and wellbeing organisations, many of whom offered things to make, quizzes or interactive opportunities.

Long-term supporter of our Friendship Network, Jordan Frieda, was awarded the Mayor of Islington's Civic Award for his unstinting work both as a volunteer and funder. Jordan is owner of Trullo Restaurant at Highbury Corner and asks every diner to add £1 to their bill to support the Friendship Network. He has also been a befriender for a long time.
We need new play equipment
Our Preschool has launched an appeal to help them modernise their play equipment so that our children can have the best start in life. If you can help us please donate here.
Running for Funds
Our good friends Patrick, Anna and Sam from Trullo are going the extra mile again this year, competing in the Hackney Half Marathon on Sunday 30th April in aid of Friendship Network. They will be joined by some of our own volunteers. If you can support them please donate here.
