Have you heard about Rotary, one of the world's largest service organisations?
Rotary is all about serving people in the community both locally and globally in times of need.
I am a member of Rotary International's District 9675 that covers Greater Sydney and I'd like to share this great opportunity with you.
SHIFT2014 is a one-day POWERHOUSE business conference and professional development event being hosted by Rotary to support Australians in the workplace, in business and in the community.
We live in a world of constant change. Technology and the digital age has altered the way we communicate, where and how we shop, how we behave as consumers, how we function in the workplace and how we lead and follow.
Just as we master one new skill another emerges so, how do we keep up? How do we stay relevant? How do we reach the people we need to reach? How do we create sustainable success?
The answer: Come along to SHIFT2014 and hear 16 talented and dynamic presenters share their knowledge on surviving and thriving in the new connection economy. The fast-paced program isn't filled with life-stories and fluffy content but sessions where each speakers has distilled for you their key points and advice - you'll walk away with a toolbox of actionable ideas to implement in your job or business immediately.
There are four topic categories:
1) The Futurists - the people who will help you understand what the economy, consumers and the workplace of the future will be
2) The Creators - the people who are out there at the coal face advising on adapting to the future
3) The Inspirers - the people who are adapting to change and creating success
4) The Doers - the people representing the different types of business and leadership models embracing change
MC Melissa Doyle will guide the day featuring Myer's Bernie Brookes, our new Governor-General Peter Cosgrove, ABC TV The Gruen Transfer's Dan Gregory, economist Ross Greenwood, Forbes Magazine's #5 social media influencer Gihan Perera and other talented individuals generously sharing their knowledge with the audience.
