REFLECTIONS

Reflections is a National PTA arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful not only in school, but in life.

Students create original works of art in response to a theme. The theme for the 2019-2020 program year is Look Within. Students submit their completed works of art in one, or all, of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.

VETERANS IN THE COMMUNITY

We will be celebrating and honoring veterans at our Annual Veterans Day Assembly on Thursday, November 7 at 1:50 p.m. in the Gym/Cafeteria.

Students will be presenting and singing songs. We would like to recognize veterans past and present in person or via a slide show.  Please send us your name, photo, your service branch, connection to our school community and any other pertinent information about your service.

Pictures may be sent to Ms. Garcia’s email at garciab@bsd405.org
Our last WALK TO SCHOOL was last Wednesday!

There will be prizes passed out to students as they get to school but please remind your student to fill out their SchoolPool trip log calendar for the month (Click here to download log) and return them to their teacher or the front desk by Friday November 8th.

Tips to remember with the trip log calendar:
  • Students need to indicate if they walked, biked, rode the bus, or carpooled at least once during the challenge;
  • Student name, grade, school and teacher name are present on card;
  • The calendars are filled out by the student, not by parents or staff.
