 Belize Mission Society

New Executive Director

New Mailing Address

 From the Board of Directors

The Belize Mission Society (BMS) Board is pleased to announce that Ms. Cathy Dulgar has taken on the position of Executive Director, effective August 1, 2020. We pray God’s blessings on Pastor Duane Meissner who has accepted a call and is now serving as Pastor of Resurrection in the City, a Lutheran Church in Denver, CO.

Ms. Dulgar is a very qualified answer to prayer and we are confident she will lead the BMS wisely. She is passionate about serving the people of Belize, especially in the area of Seine Bight.  She has been leading trips to Belize since 2013, with 19 visits to Belize under her belt. She served on the BMS Board for the past six years; the last two as Chairperson. In addition, she has helped coordinate the Children’s Feeding Program and implement the Scholarship Program.

Ms. Dulgar has also faithfully represented her home congregation, Immanuel Belvidere, as a voting member of the Belize Foro. In this role she interacted with other congregations, the Central American LCMS leadership, and the missionaries on the ground in Belize to facilitate long term missions planning.

The BMS Board is confident that her experience, knowledge, connections and organization, coupled with humility and faith, make her a perfect fit to guide our organization and our volunteers as they share the love of Christ and transform lives through holistic, sustainable mercy care.

A Note from the Executive Director

Hi Friends,

I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to work along side so many passionate believers and missionaries.  Miss Sue continues to work with the Belize Mission Society with her work in Children's Outreach and as a mentor to me.  She makes herself available for my many (MANY) inquires and guides me as I transition into my new role as the Executive Director.  It is important for our friends in the village to know that Miss Sue has not left them, she has just retired from the day to day operations of the organization.

Could I ask for your support through prayer as the Belize Mission Society navigates through this uncertain time?  We don't know when we will be able to safely return.  The Belize International Airport has postponed its August 15th reopening, as the Covid numbers climb in the country.

Thank you for supporting the Belize Mission Society through your prayers and financial donations.

Your Sister in Christ,

Facebook BMS
