A Look at the Legacy of John Muir 100 Years Later

Dr. Glen MacDonald, John Muir Memorial Chair of Geography and UCLA Distinguished Professor, will discuss the legacy of John Muir in the context of the changing nature of 21st Century environmental challenges in California and the times in which John Muir lived and worked. Dr. MacDonald will illustrate his presentation with period photos of Muir, and 19th and early 20th Century California, along with data on current conditions in our state. This program is in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of John Muir's passing.
