Proposals for Dare to Design Due TODAY!
We have only a few weeks left for proposals for Dare to Design (March 12-13, 2020) at Trinity Preparatory School and Park Maitland School in Orlando, FL!

Dare to Design is a PK-12 conference - a brand new one! - at TWO schools, showing how design thinking can lead to creative solutions, even when it comes to conference planning! Teachers who use design thinking are better equipped and empowered to engage their students, and we're seeking your ideas, tips, and resources for creating an environment where everyone dares to design! So far we have workshops on graphic design, technology, breakouts, teaching technology and design thinking to early childhood students, and many more, but we still have a little space, and would love to have you as a presenter!

Proposals are due TODAY!

How to teach Us
by HTMNC 6th Grade Students

Dear teachers, Do you have a student that you can’t successfully teach? Are you trying innovative practices in your classroom but some students just aren't thriving? Each individual student has a different point of view of learning and a different way they like to learn. Written by 6th grade students who hope this book will teach you how they feel about common classroom techniques, and how you can use that information to connect to the students and give them a better learning experience.

How Children Succeed
by Paul Tough

A Note from the Assistant Director
Hello 2020!

I am super excited about what the new year has to bring! While I do not have any resolutions, I have been developing my goals for the year. I want to make sure that my goals are well thought out and planned. Setting goals for me is very different than making resolutions. I find that when I have goals, I am more likely to meet them.

One of my favorite parts of 2020 so far has been the addition of a new resource for educators from Lausanne Learning. Our Friday Finds email will come to your inbox every week and be linked to our website, too. In this email there are tools, tips, free stuff, and information we collect throughout the week and put it into one email, just for you! I love finding these resources and sharing them with our community. If you have any ideas, tools, tips, or tricks you would like us to share, please email me (abrownlee@lausannelearning.com) or Amber (acolvin@lausannelearning.com)

This year is going to be amazing! I look forward to sharing more and growing our community! We are so lucky to have you in our network. Thank you for being here and everything you do to help support Lausanne Learning.

Have a wonderful year!
