I wanted to revisit an earlier interview with our CAP Beauties about my relationship with “MOM", so I dialed into “SELF-CARE". There’s a natural sense to spend more time with the one who gave me LIFE, the “Salt of my Earth”. She has supported my dreams, and has pushed me to not give UP at times. As you know LIFE can be challenging, and the obstacles are our teachers if we allow the teaching. Many of you have close bonds with your mothers, and some may not have the closeness granted so easily. When I think of MOTHER’S DAY... I feel a deep sincerity in my heart that all mothers want to guide us, no matter where they are in SPIRIT, or where we may be on our journey. The light between like all relationships need to be nurtured, and communicated well. In order to receive, we must take good care our ourselves first. No one is perfect but we can shine by establishing a practice in self-care, and by creating boundaries.
Has self-care always been important to you?
Yes, but self-care grew more defining when I turned forty years old and had thyroid surgery due to a large nodule that was on the border of cancer. Later years after leaving an unhealthy marriage, my life turned around for the better, and I have stayed on a healthy daily regiment ever since. My mind, body, and soul are high priorities in my life, as I continue with self-balance, healing, and purity.
I’ve always had an attraction through my earlier years but not until the late eighties that I began learning about essential oils, aromatherapy, herbs, and indigenous philosophies. Over fifteen years ago I had my awakening with early stage ovarian endometriosis, then alopecia followed… all due to a hormonal imbalance, and stress. I learned how to slow down, to change the way I was living, to seek help, to find balance, to heal my body, and through the power of amazing medicine women. I’m forever grateful that my life has turned around for the better.
A personal reminder that LIFE on this planet is truly amazing! Let go, be fearless, practice, and experience. It’s never too late for a HEALING. May there be peace, and light.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
OM TAT SAT.
