Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Holidays!  We hope that everyone will have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or whatever holiday you celebrate at the end of the year.  The museum has been fully decorated for holidays.

Note that the museum will be closed several days during the holiday break to allow our volunteers to take a much needed rest.  We are closed December 24-26 and December 31st.
We hope that everyone has safe holiday and a Happy New Year!
Holiday Exhibit
Our new exhibit:  "Christmas At Grandma’s House" is now open.  It's a great collection of vintage toys, ready-made to enjoy for the holidays.

This exhibit should be very popular with children as part of the exhibit is antique dolls adorned in
handmade clothing.  There’s even a Christmas tree decorated with old- fashioned silver tinsel that many adults have not seen since their childhoods.  This exhibit will be on display until the beginning of January, so plan on visiting.

Consider making a year-end donation to the Sunnyvale Historical Society and Museum Association. 100% of all donations go directly to programs, exhibits, and upkeep. No salaries are paid in this all volunteer organization. Donations are tax deductible under our 501(c)3 designation.

Come sit on a Piece of History!

Have you seen the newly restored Sunnyvale Train Depot benches that are now on display at the museum (in our Intro Room and on our front porch)?

We want to especially thank Boy Scout Daniel Egen who planned, executed and provided leadership to others as a way to achieve his Eagle Scout status. Thanks to the South Bay Historical Railroad Society for preserving them since 2003 and offering them to our society. Thanks to local Sunnyvale Boy Scout Troop 466 for their hard efforts in restoring the two benches. Thanks to The Sawdust Shop for providing direction and a location for the restoration work. And thanks to the local LDS volunteers for helping to move the benches into their final location
