Warm Up Your Tongue for Valentine's Day!

WHEN: 7PM, February 12 - until all the ice cream is licked!

WHERE: Specials on C @ 12th street & Ave C

LICKESTRA is a musical licking performance at the intersection of food design and smart objects developed in collaboration with smart object designer Carla Diana and musician Arone Dyer of Buke&Gase.  LICKESTRA plays with the experience from tongue to taste by presenting a series of conductive ice creams that trigger various baselines and tones when licked. Riffing on the "ice cream stand", guests are invited to stand inside a classic white pedestal and lick the ice cream that is presented to them. The result is a "4-piece band" that operates only by the licking of each guest.

On February 12th, make that tongue sing! Ice cream is courtesy of our friends at Big Gay Ice Cream. Doors open at 7pm, limited to 50 lickers!

Bring friends.

Yours Truly,

LICKESTRA was developed in residency at the School of Visual Arts Visible Futures Lab, NYC.
