How to Prepare a Turkey
Approach the turkey calmly and steadily. Speak gently and frankly about your intentions.
Sit quietly and listen to the turkey. You might hear something you hadn't considered. Be prepared to alter your plans.
Don't push the discussion too hard. Take a break and arrange a further meeting - perhaps in a small cafe: somewhere cheery and relaxed.
Stroll together, along a beach, through a park, down a cobbled lane. Continue to talk and listen - a strolling conversation is more real: it has a special dignity: it has a poetic outcome.
Sit side by side and watch the sun set. Watch the stars come out. Travel together and tell each other of your dreams. Open up your hearts and take comfort in being together.
You will not have Christmas dinner, but so what, - you will have peace, divine fellowship and most importantly, a feathered friend.

Certified MSC Teacher!!
A big yipppeeee!!!! as I am now a Certified MSC Teacher. Thanks to the support and supervision form Steve Hickman and the University of California, San Diego Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute (UCSD MBPTI). I am now eligible to offer MSC in the 5-Day Intensive format.
Below is a drawing of me by one of my Year 3 Mindfulness students, she's got my silver hair right - but 30 years younger!
I could follow Audrey Hepburn's beauty tips - akin to MSC:

After launching 'A Month of Mindfulness' this year, it has been a real delight to see how a short program can provide the springboard into Mindfulness.

Special thanks to the MS Society SA&NT and the Cancer Care Centre in supporting the program. The MS Society generously funded 2 programs this year and has confirmed another course for March 2016 to be held in Strathalbyn, it's wonderful to be able to offer the program beyond Adelaide.

These are a Retreat Day favorite!
Pheeb's Retreat Day Bliss Balls
- 1 cup almonds
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut
- 3 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp maca powder (optional)
- 2 cups dates
- 2 tbsp almond milk if too dry
- toppings of choice – eg. coconut, cacao, chia seeds, almond meal etc
- Place almonds, coconut, cacao, vanilla, and maca into food processor and process until fine and crumbly
- Add dates whilst processor is running
- Mix should be sticky enough to be rolled into balls if still a bit too dry add almond milk
- Roll into balls and cover in toppings of choice
- Store in the fridge
