ONLINE SUNDAY OFFERING
ՏՕՆ ՎԵՐԱՓՈԽՄԱՆ ՍԲ. ԱՍՏՈՒԱԾԱԾՆԻ
FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION AND BLESSING OF GRAPES
SUNDAY, AUGUST 14

The Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God (Asdvadzadzin), one of the five major feasts of the Armenian Church, is Sunday, August 14th. It commemorates the bodily ascent of the Virgin Mary (assumption) into heaven by her son Jesus Christ after her death. Divine Liturgy will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the Blessing of Grapes Service.

In accordance with the canons of the Armenian Church, Requiem Services will not be performed on this day. Requests for Requiem Services may be made for the following Sunday, August 21.
The Blessing of Grapes Service will take place on Sunday, August 14th, following Divine Liturgy. As always, grapes will be needed for the service, and donations for this purpose are gratefully accepted. Those who wish to make a donation are asked to contact the church office. Why do we bless grapes? Read more about this feast day on our website.
A PERSONAL MESSAGE OF THANKS FROM FR. MESROP PARSAMYAN

Click here to read the Primate' message.

Countless people have expressed a desire to send personal messages to Fr. Mesrop. The Diocese has created an online platform to help you do so—which can be accessed by clicking below. The Diocese will print your messages and deliver them to Hayr Sourp in the hospital. Your prayers and words of encouragement mean so much at this time. Click here to submit a note to Fr. Mesrop.

Please continue to pray for our Primate as he proceeds, with our Lord’s help, to a complete recovery. Pray, too, for the compassionate physicians and surgeons, who are diligently caring for  him.
VARTAVAR CELEBRATION

Thank you to all who attended our annual Vartavar Celebration this past Sunday! All ages joined in the fun! An inflatable water slide, ice cream truck, and sprinklers provided additional opportunities to cool off in the hot summer day. We extend our appreciation to Linda Sahagian for generously sponsoring the ice cream truck for all to enjoy. What a fun, joyous, uplifting (and very wet!) celebration! Thank you to all who attended and volunteered!
