Hosting special events for students is just one way Global Scholars share their faith with students. It gives them the opportunity to have meaningful conversations away from the classroom setting. For example . . .

Jon, in a closed country in Asia, had a party and gift exchange during the Christmas season, and 25 of his students came. The highlight of the evening was sharing the the story of Jesus' birth. As a result, several students are more open to discussing the gospel. We are encouraged by how God is using Jon in the lives of his students.

Sue in Cambodia, also threw a Christmas party for her students. She was surprised when Sochi, her former student, showed up.  He is now a follower of Christ. He shared his faith
Sochi with students at the party                    with these younger students in a dynamic way. Thanks be to God for providing Sochi in time to share the gospel with these students in their own native tongue at the party!

In another secure country a Global Scholar professor and his wife attended an outdoor picnic with many students. They had a wonderful time eating unusual foods and sharing, in words and actions, their faith in Jesus Christ.They are in a country where the Bible is not allowed to be used in pubic, and so they are thankful for the many new relationships that allow them to share the gospel with students personally.

Other recent events hosted by Global Scholars professors included movie nights, game nights, book discussions, Bible studies and dinner parties. Please pray that, as Global Scholars professors and spouses open their homes, students will see Christ's love and hospitality reflected and see Him shine through.

Grace and Peace,

We thank God
for how He is
using the hospitality
 Global Scholars
professors to bring
His truth to their students.

We ought therefore to show hospitality to such people so that we may work together for the truth.
