"Dave" serves in a European nation with one of the world's highest suicide rates, a nation desperate for the gospeI. He has the privilege of teaching at an influential university in the country, reaching the next generation of leaders with the gospel. Dave teaches philosophy, allowing him to regularly engage important questions such as "What is truth," a question students are eager to discuss.

"Amalia" is one such student, thirsty for answers. Recently Dave was discussing the nature of truth and its relationship to art.  Amalia raised her hand and asked what she said was probably "an odd question" about Jesus' disciple Thomas. She was wondering why Thomas needed to "see" in order to believe Jesus' claim to be the Truth.

Students throughout the world, including these students in Europe, are in need of Christian professors who can share the Truth with them.

Of course, it wasn't an odd question at all and led to an important class discussion about the nature of belief, doubt, and understanding. It is a joy for Dave to see students like Amalia wrestling with questions of truth and the gospel.

Please pray that Dave, and all other Global Scholars, will have the wisdom to be salt and light among their students and colleagues. Please also pray that they will be able to nurture deeper relationships with those who are seeking the Truth, for "This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." (I Timothy 2:3-4)

Thank you for bringing the Truth to students like Amalia worldwide! May God richly bless you and the work of your hands.

Grace and Peace,

IMAGINE HOW OUR WORLD, AND THE WORLD WE LEAVE OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN, WILL BE DIFFERENT WHEN EVERY UNIVERSITY STUDENT IN THE WORLD HAS A CHRISTIAN PROFESSOR!

"There are few voices more influential in determining the beliefs of today's young people that those heard in the
lecture halls on
university campuses.
Global Scholars aims to increase the number of such voices - a cause our family enthusiastically supports."
