The Jets can't even get losing right.
In the upset of the season, the New York Jets defeated the Los Angeles Rams, 23-20.This is the Jets' first win of the season, and it's a costly one, as it knocks them down the draft order, with the Jacksonville Jaguars now controlling the first overall spot.
Along with the win, iron man Frank Gore scored his 100th career touchdown, although the crappy commentators called it his 99th (Gore has a fumble recovery for a TD they aren't counting).
These two things prove that anything is possible, so let's set our goals high for this holiday week!

On this day in sports history, the very first game basketball, based on rules created by James Naismith, was played by 18 students in Springfield, Massachusetts.
It's a relevant event to make note of today, as the NBA season begins tomorrow! I know, we forgot about it too!

To be honest, there's a good chance that Monday Night Football turns into a snoozefest tonight. So, yes, make sure you watch some of that game, but you can also flip ahead one channel and watch some college basketball.
There aren't many completive college basketball games on TV tonight either, but Tulsa vs Memphis looks to be among the most competitive games of the night.
