Here we are, you and me. We're together at two different times, past me, present you. How are you? How was today? Relax those shoulders. Stretch your neck, and let's spend a mo' together.

My sister is here. Kiddo's asleep. And I'm thinking about the RuPaul's Drag Race finale.

Poem-quake

One of the poetry newsletters I get is Split This Rock, an organization that supports and promotes socially engaged poets. I recently read, then read again, then listened to the author read her poem aloud... it was a heart-ringing hearth-break beauty. Please listen and/or read And the Word Was God by Savannah Sipple.

So I'm on chapter 4 of 5 in The Body Is Not An Apology by Sonya Renee Taylor. It feels so fundamental to me, to our current world, that I'm ready to share the love. Just like last time, I'd like to give you a copy. Respond to this newsletter with your address and I'll drop a book in the mail to you. Easy peasy.

Outlander

We went to Portland this past weekend to meet a wee babe and love on her parents. So not much studio time in the past week. But there has been downtime and in every spare moment, Outlander. Yes, in both book and television show format. It checks so many boxes for me: historical romance fantasy. (It's SO GOOOOOOD.
How are you feeling today?

If you know someone who would enjoy something on here, forward it to them.

Thank you, friend!
