Hello, earth-dwellers,

I'm a bit of a blank slate at the moment but I love each of the things I share below. I hope you enjoy...

xo, avw

Side note: and as always, if something here reminds you of someone else and you want to share, forward along!

The side note's side note: I always love hearing back from ya'll.

Mega completion.

As promised, I’m here to let you know that my induction/birth story status: FINITO, good enough, SHIP IT! Please read it as it was almost 2 years in the making. Haha ah ha sob.

There are new fancy people for my 100 day project but I’ll share them next week.

I <3 u, tum tum.

I read the poem My Mother’s Belly by Sonya Renee Taylor three times in a row last Friday and ugly-cried each time. Poetry is reading an emotion that resonates so deeply that you want the words to be implanted in your mind and heart so that it’s never forgotten.

In a world that tells you that you gotta get that pre-baby bod back, I say, "Take a hike!" Creating a life changed things. You know what else changes your body? Aging. And we are all headed right thataway. So I’m learning to relax my resistance now. The Body Is Not An Apology: The Power of Radical Self-Love by Sonya Renee Taylor is helping me. Her belly poem is on the opening dedication page (though I did not discover it until I'd read awhile.) This book gets a strong recommend for people with bodies. Also people with bodies that will change. And people who are told their bodies should not change (women.)

A friend and her library books.

My friend and librarian-extraordinaire Sharon McKellar was interviewed for 99% Invisible, an always-fascinating podcast about design and the world around us. Hear her take on the purposeful removal of books from a library in Weeding is Fundamental. It's a great episode!
How  goes it?

If you know someone who would enjoy something on here, forward it to them.

Thank you, beautiful!
