Tap on, tap off when riding Link light rail and Sounder trains

Tap on, Ride, Tap off
It’s easy to ride Link Light Rail and Sounder with your U-PASS. Just tap your U-PASS on the ORCA card reader before boarding the train and tap your U-PASS again at your destination station as you leave.

Riding without tapping first could land you with a $124 fine from Sound Transit and neglecting to tap when you get off tells the system to charge UW for the longest possible trip, which raises the cost for every U-PASS member. Click here to learn more about why it’s important to tap off.

Try the practice Bus Bike Rack

Practice makes perfect
Bus Bike Rack
Taking a bike on a bus is easy, but if you've never done it, that rack can look complex. Realize how simple it truly is by trying out the practice bus bike rack in front of Transportation Services on the corner of University Way NE and NE Campus Parkway. Located in our courtyard, the rack is available 24 hours per day and has printed instructions that walk you through the steps.

Combining transit with bicycling can open up your transportation options, reduce the number of times you need to transfer, and potentially speed up your whole commute.
