NSF Graduate Research Fellowship (Undergrad Seniors, MS & PhD students)
Goal: To provide three years of support for the graduate education of individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant research achievements in STEM or STEM education. Women, members of underrepresented minority groups, persons with disabilities, veterans, and undergraduate seniors are strongly encouraged to apply.
Amount: 34k stipend and 12k education allowance each year for 3 years

DOE Office of Science Graduate Student Research Awards (Ph.D. students)
Goal: Support supplemental awards to outstanding U.S. graduate students to conduct part of their thesis research at a DOE national laboratory/facility in collaboration with a DOE laboratory scientist for a period of 3-12 consecutive months. Amount: $3k living stipend while on-site and inbound/outbound travel cost reimbursement up to $2k.

NSF: CC* DCL: Towards an Equitable National Cyber Infrastructure (PUIs & MSI)
Goal: To address disparities in campus-level networking and cyberinfrastructure that exacerbated the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in some areas of the country. <- Institutions in EPSCoR-eligible jurisdictions are especially encouraged to submit. THAT MEANS NEW MEXICO!
Letter of Intent Deadline: October 11    
Early Career Leadership Workshop (early career faculty or post-docs)
This is a free, three-day intensive, residential program where participants will gain skills in meeting facilitation and leadership, incorporating broader impacts into research, communicating science to the media, effective teaching in higher education, project management, and work-life integration.
Workshop Dates: January 9-11, 2022
Application Deadline: October 18     
Team Science Leadership Training (associate or full professor)
This is a free, three-day intensive, residential program where participants develop skills for managing collaborative, interdisciplinary, and complex projects. Key elements include: building and leading diverse and productive teams, project management skills, strategic planning, and communications. Participants must be mid-career or senior faculty in STEM.
Training Dates: January 12-14, 2022.
Application Deadline: October 18     
VentureWell Course & Program Grants (faculty or staff at IHEs)
Goal: To help fund and support curriculum that engages students in science and technology innovation and entrepreneurship. 
Deadline: November 3   
Call for Proposals: Infrastructure Seed Awards (Faculty @ two- or four-yr IHE in NM)
Goal: To support transformative research and capacity building across New Mexico’s academic institutions in emerging smart grid areas. The awards can be used to purchase research and teaching equipment and to pay for student researcher salaries, research supplies, and student conference travel. Amount: $50K  **Participation in current NM EPSCoR-funded project is not required!**
Deadline: November 15
