Things to do in Perth

In this edition of Spinal WA eNews,

Get involved with an activity or try a new sport with Rebound WA

Depending on what your cup of tea is, Rebound WA has a range of sports and activities which will get you up and moving again. Some of our more popular sports are Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Rugby. These sports can be played competitively or socially. If you’re not into team sports, Rebound WA also offers wheelchair tennis, para-badminton, or horse riding. For those who prefer a quieter pace, there are opportunities in lawn bowls, archery, and pistol shooting.

Love the great outdoors? How about hand cycling? Rebound WA offers both on-road and off-road versions of the sport. Prefer the water? There’s canoeing or water skiing. Ice sledging (adaptive ice hockey) is also available if you are trying to beat the heat.

If you have a higher level of impairment and use a powerchair, how about checking out powerchair football?

For the truly brave, fearless or, downright mad amongst us, Rebound WA will be participating in the Urban Descent late October. The Urban Descent is a 160-meter abseil down one of Perth's tallest buildings. Where most adventure companies will struggle to accommodate people living with disabilities, Rebound WA in partnership with Adventure Out makes the abseil possible. Anyone can do it – it doesn’t matter your age, gender, or fitness. There are still places available for another few people who are keen to abseil so get in touch with Rebound WA so you don’t miss out.
