AWS Designer Notes – Hawthorne House

Hawthorne house was a very passionate project with particular significance for Kel Greenway of GHP. It was also very important to the home owner, who happened to be his daughter. Hawthorne House presents a sempiternal aesthetic that draws its appeal from the natural environment and lighting that surrounds it. It does this through the innovative use of large glazing and bold frames.

Watch how the character of the build owes itself to the very involved approach between architect and home-owner; father and daughter here.
