Last Thursday night, the Australian Achievement in Architecture Awards were presented in the beautiful surrounds of Peppermint Bay in Tasmania. The AAAAs are an important opportunity to acknowledge the valuable work that individuals are doing to advance the profession of architecture.

The event marks the presentation of the highest accolade the Institute can bestow. This year, the Gold Medal Award for Architecture has been awarded to Phil Harris and Adrian Welke, founding directors of Troppo Architects, in recognition of their outstanding services to the profession and to the community.

2014 Australian Achievement in Architecture Awards announced

An inspiring collection of students, emerging architects and professional leaders has been honoured at the Australian Achievement in Architecture Awards presentation ceremony in Hobart last week.
 
The annual awards recognise and reward outstanding contributions in the fields of architecture and the built environment across a range of expertise including leadership, sustainability, education and advancement.
 
In addition to the Institute’s highest honour, the Gold Medal, eight accolades were presented to 15 deserving recipients from around Australia.
