Overall curator announced for the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale

Alejandro Aravena a Chilean architect who founded Elemental, a social housing initiative, has been appointed overall curator.

'There are several battles that need to be won and several frontiers that need to be expanded in order to improve the quality of the built environment and consequently people’s quality of life.'

The Biennale will run from 28 May - 27 Nov 2016.
