2014 Venice Architecture Biennale

The Venice Architecture Biennale is now open to the public. The Australian exhibition is Augmented Australia 1914–2014 by creative team felix._Giles_Anderson+Goad, which brings modern and historical unrealised Australian projects to life through three-dimensional augmented models, images, voice-overs and animations.

Gold Medal Tour

Phil Harris and Adrian Welke, co-founders of Troppo, have been awarded the 2014 Gold Medal at the Australian Achievement in Architecture Awards.

The Gold Medal tour will kick off in Darwin in late June, then travelling around the country throughout September and October.

National Construction Code reforms

On 30 May, the Australian Building Ministers’ Forum agreed in principle to make the 2015 National Construction Code (NCC) and future editions freely available online, significantly contributing to reducing the burden of building regulation. This will make it more accessible to both small business and the building and plumbing industries. For more information about these reforms, read the press release and FAQ document.
