Spring Into Change!
Lately it seems that everything is changing. I see these changes in my life and in the lives of those around me, as well as the dramatic change of season that we are experiencing here in Chicago.
Many of you are receiving this newsletter for the first time; welcome and thank you for joining me! Many others have received this newsletter before; welcome back! Over the winter months I was "radio silent," but a lot has been happening behind the scenes, and changes abound. Over the winter many seeds were being planted, watered, and nurtured, and just as the flowers and trees are blooming once again, my own seeds are blossoming with the coming of summer.
You'll notice a lot of "unveilings" in this newsletter: new hours, a new facebook, and even an updated newsletter design. Indeed I am now working full-time at my Lincoln Square location, and I am directing all of my abundant and creative spring energy to learning, sharing, and growing as a massage therapist and Reiki practitioner. I am so excited to share this with you!
In addition to spending more time seeing clients like you at my office, you can find me at events around the city introducing people to the abundant benefits of massage and Reiki. In April I had the pleasure of working with Chicago Endurance Sports "No Boundaries" runners at the Ravenswood 5k and also provided chair massage at an employee appreciation event at Stroger Hospital.
Just last week I hosted seminars at all three Fleet Feet locations' Chicks Night runs and gave Reiki to over 20 first-timers at the Thompson Center as part of the Mental Health America of Illinois first
ever Mental Health & Wellness Fair.
As a founding member of the Midwest Reiki Community, I volunteered this past weekend at yet another Stand Down event for homeless veterans and will be volunteering regularly at the Jesse Brown VA Hospital to provide Reiki services to those who have fought for our country.
And this week I will be working at another employee appreciation event and will also be providing Reiki at Illinois Masonic Medical Center's Cancer Survivors Day Celebration on Sunday June 8th.
