‘Belonging in Local Government’

The theme for the 2021 Local Government Elections is centered around diversity & inclusion.

Here is what Minister John Carey MLA had to say,

"Having more diversity in local government can bring enormous benefits, including better decision-making and the ability to draw on a wider range of experiences and skills.”

ALGWA WA have themed this years breakfast Belonging in Local Government, whilst we have increased the diversity around the table, its important to also make everyone belong.

Dr Anne Aly MP announced as a guest speaker

Dr Anne Aly MP was elected to the House of Representatives for Cowan, Western Australia in 2016 and re-elected 2019.

Dr Aly is a champion for inclusivity and diversity, and we are excited to have Anne as a guest speaker.
