Some COVID-19 restrictions eased

Following the recent ACT Government easing of COVID-19 restrictions, the Gardens has reopened all pathways for two-way pedestrian traffic, including the rainforest paths that were previously closed. Sanitisation points will remain available.

Volunteer Guides can now take up to 10 people on a guided walk, without the previous limit on number of households. Guides still need to maintain their distance from the group. For the time being there will still only be one public (free) walk each day, at 11:00am.

Flora Explorer minibus tours will continue to be available on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30am. The present capacity restriction (8 people) and spacing requirements will remain.

Permitted capacity for some indoor venues has increased, and visitor registrations will use the ACT 'Check-in CBR' app and QR code.

Summer evenings in the Gardens

Sadly, there will be no Summer Sounds concert series in the New Year.

There's good news, though, for lovers of summer evenings in the Gardens: Sunset Cinema will go ahead at ANBG Eucalypt Lawn from 10 December 2020 to 14 February 2021. They can welcome up to 700 people per screening and ANBG has approved their COVID-19 Safety Plan.

The Friends and Gardens are keen to bring back the concerts in 2022 - better than ever!
