Dear Lighthouse families,
As we look forward to the holiday season, we want you to be able to thank the Lord, in your family and your community.
With the latest announcements from the governor's office and from our most recent meeting with the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department, we are grateful that schools with strong COVID protocols can continue to provide safe, in-person education.
Governor Inslee has issued a travel advisory for Washington, which recommends a 14-day quarantine for interstate and international travel, and suggests residents stay close to home. As a result of the travel advisory, we have received many questions regarding the Lighthouse policy for holiday travel.
- School leadership is following the WA state travel advisory which recommends a 14-day quarantine.
- Please be mindful of COVID-related guidelines regarding holiday gatherings.
- We strongly recommend a quarantine and/or COVID test if you find that your holiday gatherings are not as mindful of the COVID protocols as mandated.
- We are trusting families to make safe choices for both your children and others in the community to help keep Lighthouse operating in-person.
Lighthouse will remain vigilant on upholding our COVID protocols while keeping an eye on the community transmission levels. We appreciate your support in making every effort to help keep Lighthouse operating in-person. As Head of School, this applies to myself, our staff, faculty, and all of our Lighthouse families. I would be happy to answer any questions or concerns related to this communication. Please contact the Main Office to schedule an appointment with me.
We will be praying for the Lord’s protection over you and your family during the holiday season. We are thankful for all the Lord’s blessings this year.
Living to serve,
Head of School
