DC Action's Fall Reception and Awards is the start of a new tradition of honoring our youth, young adults, individuals, and District leaders who are blazing new trails in advocacy and bringing to life our collective vision of making the District of Columbia a place where all of our children and young people grow up safe, resilient, powerful and heard.
During this year's in-person, safe and outdoor event, we invite you to join us as we celebrate the successes of our recent merger, announce the new Diane Bernstein Fellowship in Child and Youth Advocacy, and be inspired by the personal stories of our honorees.
To keep our guests COVID safe, we are requesting each guest age 12 and older be vaccinated. To ensure safety, we are also holding the event outdoors, capping attendance at 50 plus staff and honorees, making plenty of room for distancing, and will have masks and hand sanitizer widely available.
If you're a young person, educator, youth development professional, justice-seeker or a DC resident excited about the future of our children and youth, you do not want to miss.

We have been so moved by the outpouring of appreciation for those in our community making a difference for kids. Nearly one hundred inspirational nominations were submitted for the DC Action awards. Selected honorees will be notified this week and announced the first week in October. Each of the honorees will receive a star trophy and a cash prize of $2,500 – $5,000.
