Update; 3 March 2016

Beginners graduation

Do you want to be part of the next BIG Redway Runners event? We already have over 60 beginners saying that they want to do their graduation parkrun on Saturday 19 March so we need lots of buddies to make it yet another special day. We also have a smaller group graduating a week earlier.

Rather than try to get everyone's availability info via FB messages, we're trialing a system that collates everyone's responses for us. So if you're able to help out on either 12 or 19tMarch please go to .
Just add your name, tick the date(s) you can help and tick one of the 'Sub' boxes to give us an idea of your current parkrun time. This is just to help us with matching up buddies with beginners.
Hope this is all clear. If not message Glenn Dickinson.
Thanks in advance.

Greensands Ridge Relay 2016

Entries will be open soon for the Greensand Ridge Relay which takes place on Saturday 18 June. This is an off road relay which starts at Leighton Buzzard and ends in Northill, Beds. There are six legs of differing lengths so if you are interested please look at the website
We will be arranging some runs over different parts of the relay leading up to this so you will have plenty of opportunity to see where you are running
If you are interested can you please let Denise Browning know as soon as possible at:

Fancy a bit of Hotpod Yoga

Redway Runners are teaming up with Hotpod yoga to offer club members a free running based yoga session with them.

It is on the 19 March at 12:00 (about 1 hour) - there are only 20 places available to paid club members and it will be first come first served.

To book your place e-mail (by booking you agree that we will pass on your email and name details to Hotpod yoga).

More on Hotpod Yoga at:

Track is back again next Wednesday, 9 March. We are meeting at Stantonbury fields at the usual time of 6.45pm. £1 for members and £3 for non members and suitable for all abilities.

The session will be hosted by Doug who is part way through his Athletics Coaching Courses.

The main session will be 300m repeats but it will also include a couple of exercises to establish the individual distances needed for a 2 minute VO2 Max effort session later this year.

The session will start with a 2/3 lap warm up followed by some dynamic stretching drills. With time & lighting being limited a prompt start at 6:45 is important where possible in order to have more time for these...

Doug will need a helper to record the distances and work out individual start points, please message him if you can volunteer.
