Round Milton Keynes Relay

The 2017 Round MK Relay takes place on Sunday 21 May, this is a great team relay and Abi is looking after it again for Redway Runners

If people are interested, Abi will need to know what leg you would like to do and a rough estimate on how long it will take them, as this determines start times and also a date of birth for the handicap to be calculated.
Abi can mix people in to teams but happy if people want to let her know who they would like to be with.
The details of the legs are on the website:
Legs are:
  • One - Stony Stratford to Woolstone - 16km
  • Two - Woolstone to Bow Brickhill - 5.4miles
  • Three - Bow Brickhill to Bottledump Roundabout - 9.6 miles
  • Four - Bottledump Roundabout to Stony Stratford - 10km
The teams start at different times with the idea that they finish at similar times. You need to know the route of your leg as it will not be marshaled. (note there may be slightly different hand over point this year)
Entry fee is £5 per team (so a bargain £1.25 per person)
To take part contact Abi at:

Kevin in Borswana

On Saturday Kevin found a local running club to go out with in Botswana, Kevin said 'I had a great run this morning with the Gaborone Striders in Botswana. 24km of hilly terrain on a tarmac road through the bush starting at 0530 at an altitude of 3,400 feet above sea level provided quite a test - and the temperature was about 30 degrees by the end!

A great bunch of runners, many of them with similar personalities to our own Redway Runners members - a gazebo as well! Lots of banter and a run lead remarkably like Martin Lawrence. Reminded me that runners tend to come from the same mould whichever continent we reside in.'

Malaga Half

We had a group of 11 Redway Runners over in Spain and did the 27 Edition of the Malaga Half Marathon on Sunday in some glorious sunshine.
