Redway Runners - March social - Quiz night

Following on from our very successful first quiz night last year, we’re holding a Quiz and Bingo Night on Friday 13 March – hopefully not unlucky for any of us! This will be upstairs at David Lloyd (7.30 for 7.45 start) with entry just £5 per person, pay on arrival, (which includes your bingo tickets for the evening).  Teams of 4-6 people for the quiz.  Don’t worry if you can’t get a team together though – we can always match you up with someone else.
We had a great turn-out for last year’s quiz night. Let’s see if we can beat it this year.

Festival of Running - Club kit

If you want club kit for the Festival of running on the 8 March then last date for order form and payment is Monday 23 February. (Subject to stock availability)
Form on club site under shop at:

Evening group Beginners Graduation

Date for your diary - Saturday 14 March, It looks as though we're going to have 60 or more beginners doing their graduation parkrun on this day and it would be great if we could pair everyone up with a buddy from the club. Look out for further info coming soon, if you can help please let Glenn know or reply and will forward on to Glenn

Cross Country - last race

Good running on Saturday on a "flat" course! at Tear Drop Lakes for the last race of this seasons Chiltern League. A bit low on numbers considering we ran in MK, however, after 5 meeting the men's team finished 3rd in division 2 just 5 points behind 2nd ...(how a couple more runners could have helped) and the women finished 11th

Together as a senior team we finished 4th which is great news in our first season.

Like to thank everyone who took part or got involved in some way, special thanks to Vanessa and James for organising the club teams -Bring on next season

Infinity Run 2015

After having had a successful inauguration Infinity run in 2014 and in achieving a the goal of running 100 miles in 24hours, they have decided to make Infinity Run an annual event.
Running over 12 - 13 September and open to solo runners, tag teams of 2 runners or a relay team of 4, the challenge is to complete the twin loop course of just over 100 miles in 24 hours.
As many of our runners will know, running off-road is a very different experience and the route that reaches to Bedford from Willen Lake and then to Twyford from Willen Lake is run over approx 1/3 road, 1/3 trail and 1/3 cross country in Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire including approx 30 stile crossings.
They are inviting teams from all of the local running clubs and although it is open this year to non-local runners, they would be delighted if they could fill the 100 max, places with local runners
They will have regular free training runs along the route for familiarisation and building up the miles. Every two weeks until June then every week to end of September.
Details and entry etc are on the website,  We have a club discount, follow the link to register and ensure to include "Redway Runners" for a discount of £10 from the entry fee so whether solo, tag team of 2 or team relay of 4, then opt to pay by transfer or cheque and deduct £10 from that.
