New Daytime Beginners course

Weekly mail

Due to some potential issues we have been having behind the scenes with the e-mails (not sure they have all been being received) - this weeks mail has some slightly different formatting, please add this mail address so that it does not go into you spam folder.

If you have mailed us recently on anything and not had a response use this mail address or again as hopefully we have fixed the problem.

Marathon Clinic 2016

We are able to confirm we will be holding a marathon clinic again working with the MK Marathon team on the Thursday 4 February 2016 (sorry about clash with club run only night could get the speakers booked) it will be upstairs at David Lloyd, Livingstone Drive, Newlands, Milton Keynes MK15 0DL.

We will have speaking Andy Hully, Race Director for the MK Marathon and Nick Anderson who has 25 years running experience, Nick is a graduate in Science & Management of health & fitness, a UKA level 4 endurance coach. Also on the night Fusion Sport will be attending so you can have a look at the products

Redway Runners XMas Charity Raffle 2015

We are again selling raffle tickets this year with all the profits going to the clubs Charity of the year ‘Bravery Boxes’.

Tickets cost £2 or £10 strip of 5 and are available from Julie Martin or Martin Lawrence. If you can donate a prize please contact Martin or Julie or mail

You can also purchase by transferring the money to the club bank account, mailing us as above and we will put your name on them and let you know the ticket colour and number

Bucks Cross Country Champs

Cross Country fans. We know there are many new converts, the Beds/Bucks County champs are 9 January 2016, this is separate to the Chiltern league and is £6 entry and entries close 31 December. would be great to see loads of green tees at this.

Congratulations from Redway Runners

Congratulations to Simon and Marian, as Morris became big brother to a little boy weighing 9lb 13. Marian was in and out of hospital in record time. Simon is a very pleased dad (as the car park fee only came to £4.50!!)

They are at home now and no name yet.

Congrats from all at Redway Runners and looking forward to Simon slowing down his running pushing the double buggy

Beginners parkrun

Eight very committed beginners turned up Saturday morning for their graduation parkrun, we were also blessed to see a matching number of Redway Runner buddies who kindly helped out. Everyone ran well and despite the extreme cold left with the warm glow of satisfaction that only a graduation parkrun can give.

Well done all see you all in club runs soon with the running journey

Redway Runners in Benidorm

A large group from the club are just back from a fantastic trip to Benidorm - the group managed to go a wqeek before the official Benidorm half and 10K so had no option but to organise our own 10K and half run, we were joined by runners from other running clubs from around the UK including, Stoke, Belfast, Baildon Liverpool and many others.

Special thanks to Amesbury travel for sorting everything for us this weekend from coaches to runs and everything in between - you were fantastic.

Did we mention it was a lot warmer in Spain!

Brasserie MK College extra club meal

Fantastic night at the Brasserie MK college on Tuesday evening for the club extra Christmas meal - thanks to Sarah and her team for a great evening

Endurance and Recovery event in-store

Been asked to let you know about this event on the 5 December 2-3pm or 5-6pm
We at the Nutricentre, in the Kingston Centre MK are holding an event, which we would love to invite you and you members to. The event will include live Q&A sessions with expert nutritionists, free advice from suppliers, sampling, take away samples and a launch of new endurance and energy lines in-store.

Christmas Shop

With Christmas fast approaching, so is the last dates for ordering from the club shop for delivery before the big day (subject to stock availability)

13 December will be the last date to order items, we need completed form and full payment (Except the Embroidered hoodies which is 30 November)

We do have a small supply of the club green or black cap, for those last minute Christmas presents

New Evening Beginners course starting

We are launching two new free beginners courses in January 2016, due to the popularity of the first beginners course of the year we run we are doing two course this year, brief details below

Sessions will be on Monday and Thursday evenings and participants will be able to come to either or both, but should do at least one a week.

Evening - Mondays at 18:00 starts 11 January 2016 (first week 17:45) with Glenn
Evening - Thursdays at 18:00 starts 14 January 2016 (first week 17:45) with Annette

Christmas & New Year Running

As we get closer to Christmas you are of course starting to think about when you will get your runs in!! Well in the club we have a fairly full list of club runs taking place with a few changes to some runs - you can find all the details on the club news page or at:

Redway Runners Festival of Running

This is the Fab looking special Redway Runners bling you should be getting for doing the Redway Runners Festival on Running on the 4 and 5 June 2016, it will have a ribbon that indicates the race you did. anyone doing more than one race can link them to form a lake & anyone doing all 4 can link them to form 4 Lakes with 2 upside down!!

It is one weekend with a marathon, two half marathons and a 10K with events on the Saturday and the Sunday - so it even gives the perfect opportunity to do two event or even three or for the mad all 4. I is only available at the moment to club fully paid members. Entries are limited for each race and are likely to sell out,

Club Christmas Party 2015 LAST CHANCE TO BOOK

This year's Christmas Party will be held on Friday 4 December at 7.30pm at David Lloyd.

Tickets are £25/head or £20/head for vegetarians. Please book through Martin Lawrence -  or Julie Martin - - payment by bank transfer (Sort code 301553 Number 42390360 Name; Redway Runners), cheque (payable to Redway Runners) or cash.

The latest club parkrun results are at: If you ran and are not listed then please, from a parkrun mail (results or newsletter), click the ‘manage my profile’ and you can then update your club to ‘Redway Runners’

Normal Running Timetable

We have many club runs a selection of the main runs is listed below, but you can find the full list at:

RUNNING CLUB - all standards - 'Social run' 4 miles, with loop back for those who run 10 minute miles and quicker, 'Step up group' which does 2.7 miles at a gentle pace and the 'Club run' which does a 4 mile run with no loop backs, so you need to know the route. Each run has a tail runner.
Meet near the barrier entrance at 19.00 or if you are new at 18.50.
6 to 8 miles, approximately 9 minute/mile pace, meet reception 10.00 for a 60-75 minute run.
RUNNING CLUB - all standards - meet at 9.30 prompt in at David Lloyd reception for a max 1 hour run (we mix up runs with Interval sessions or hills or a handicap run).
Evening social run or Step up to 10K runs or session work (hills, intervals or the handicap run) meet near the barriers at 19.00
10 mile club run, at between 8 and 9 minute/mile pace, meet reception 9.30.
parkrun *, 5k meet at the mini bowl at Willen Lake 9.00 - all standards - free event - should register before attending and bring the barcode, you can register your club as 'Redway Runners' even if you have not joined as it is a free event.
Longer training runs, meet at 9.00 check the web site under 'Train' and ‘Sunday runs’ for details.
Please remember to do your warm up and cool downs before and after the run.
