MK Festival of running

As the MK running festival in March is fast approaching DLRR, we have 67 listed for the half and 11 for the 10K, will have the usual cheering point at the Cross Keys (runners pass this spot twice) - Michelle is going to be looking after it for the club and will have the flags - so come down and cheer the green runners if you are not running.

On the morning of the race we are meeting in the food centre - entrance to Iceland - a good spot and toilets - we will aim to get a group photo at about 9.50 (5k starts 10:00, 10K at 10:10 and the half at 10:25)

The evening all have to come to the Wetherspoons near to the V6 with the medal and celebrate or help the runners celebrate - meet from 19:00.

Remember 15% discount code for paid members of DLRR (so you are potentially getting £2 discount for affiliated club and a further 15%) . When entering on-line you need to enter the code 'Redway15' then in the club enter 'David Lloyd Redway Runners' entries close on-line on 5 March.

Do not forget you green club top.

Finally - if you are not listed on the who racing where page on the club web site let us know and we will add you.

Vanessa Stride is organising the event for the club and Sarah Lambert will be our event marshal co-ordinator. So if you can help please get in touch with Sarah or Vanessa or mail me and I will pass on details

All helpers will be needed by 1pm and should be finished by 4pm.

Well done to the group that went to Ashridge on Saturday, 22 Feb, with Tring Running club with Len and Helen there were 7,
Karen B, Vanessa, Christine R, Cathy B and her friend Sam. It was a glorious sunny morning and they were warmly welcomed by fellow Tring friends. There was a lot of laughter, a lot of mud and a lot of hills, ouch! All stayed for refreshments afterwards and swapped running tales and agreed that we would do it again in due course.
Well done Helen and thanks for organising

We have a charity event being held at the club on March 14th in which I have attached the poster (below) of the event to see if yourself or any members of the running group would like to attend. If this is possible for you to advertise would be great help. Please reply to my own email address at

Therefore, if you would rather volunteer to help on the day we would welcome your expertise. Roles include; helping to set up the course, handing out medals, marshalling the route and most importantly, provide encouragement for all those taking part.
