Club Overseas Trip - this weekend

This weekend sees the first club trip of the year, with a group of around 22 from the club traveling to Santa Pola in Spain for the Half Marathon on Sunday.

Good luck all and no doubt pictures appearing over the weekend

Please note this may result in a delay in dealing with club requests.

On the run with Ian Stevens

This week we have been on the run with Ian Stevens, just before he leaves the club for a new life in Chichester, mind you before that we have a small matter of a leaving weekend party in Santa Pola in Spain on the club trip.

Ian will be missed, I know by many including myself, for all the support he has given to runners and helped behind the scenes, in just one aspect of his work enabled the club to secure funding to send six of our run leads on Leadership Training.

Good luck Ian

You will find other Redway Runners stories at:

Trail finder run Saturday 28 Jan

Saturday the 28 January is our Monthly Trail Finder run with Kevin and this month it is at Rushmere park, at 10am from the cafe - so ideal to get in the parkrun first

All the details at:

Beginners started

Well it was a really busy week last week with all seven beginners groups getting underway,  we have 260 coming along and starting running with the club which is an amazing turnout.

All this could not have happened without a massive amount of team work happening to make sure everything runs smoothly, so a massive thank you to all nine run leads taking groups, to Annette for a massive amount of work sorting everybody out onto courses, to Tim for providing medical support and also to all those that come along to help on the courses – without all of you we could not do it and get more people ‘running Milton Keynes’.

All of the beginners should have received homework mails now or very shortly and also have their own Facebook group for each course.

If you booked and missed week one then come along to week two – see the run leader and let them have the form we mailed you or they will give you a short form to complete before the start.

If you want to join on week two register via our beginners course page and we can advise which groups have space, but not much availability.

Finally again a big thank you to those who trusted us for your first running steps and we are looking forward to you running with us to parkrun and beyond..

Last of the seven beginners groups to start, the group photos were after last weeks mail and did not make it for last weeks mail as the two groups started last Thursday night
