Been getting many questions about marathons - so a quick update on a few things
Club Marathon Training runs
The Club Sunday runs from January become marathon training runs - these runs start with 1 hour 20 minutes of running (most weeks an hour drop out option and we should have Step Up Sunday runs as well) and increase in time by 10 minutes per week, peaking for the Milton Keynes and London (and many other spring Marathons). Details will be on the club Sunday run page when ready.
Again next year we will be holding a marathon clinic for runners - we will have details and booking information available soon - these are essential for those running the first marathon or 100th, so as soon as info is released ger the date in your diary and get booked up
Club London Marathon ballot
Just a reminder, if you have been unsuccessful and meet the club rules for the ballot you must keep the outer wrapper/rejection letter that shows your name and address or forward the rejection mail -you must also meet the full rules on this page on this page on the club web site and follow the process outlined
Last date for rejection slips is the 21 November. Ballot will be drawn at the Club Christmas meal 2 December.

Had a link to this web site sent through that has some interesting but limited data for results, only includes a few distances at the moment, it lists people who have registered Redway Runners as club - we have no control over the data, but thought worth sharing.
---- I've built a results website called racestats.run for EMGP, LRRL and other race results including the Silverstone 10k.
The site has easy access to results by runner name or club and allows comparison of results per age group.
The Edinburgh Marathon takes place on Sunday 28th May 2017 and is part of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival, the UK's largest running festival!
The marathon route is one of the fastest in the UK making that elusive PB a distinct possibility. The Edinburgh Marathon has sold out every year since 2008 and is the second largest marathon in the UK, behind only London.
The full weekend of events attracts over 30,000 runners, with thousands more lining the course to support. There are 9 races on offer over two days including the marathon, half marathon, team relay, 10k, 5k and junior races. There really is something for everyone, so why not make the most of the Bank Holiday weekend.
In place of our normal Sunday run on 23 October 2016 at 9am, we will be holding a 'Treasure Hunt Fun Run', a test event for a bigger and better event as part of the Milton Keynes 50 year celebrations in 2017.
To help us test if this event would be successful, we are asking you to support this fun run.
