Weekly runs

With the large number of weekly runs we now have in the club - we have decided to make them easier - well easier to find the right ones for you.

On the weekly run page we have added a view of the runs that hopefully makes it simpler to see which ones may be right for you.

Look at the runs colour coded as 'Everyone' and also those that suit the distance /pace you can do - then give them a go.

You can also download a copy of the sheet as well - it is at:

http://www.redwayrunners.com/train/weekly-runs/

Hope it helps

Redway Runners trip to Dublin

We had well over 30 traveling out to Dublin for the clubs second overseas trip of the year, many of us did the St Anne's parkrun on the Saturday, a lovely two lap course on the outskirts of the city.
Sunday was the big event with the Rock n Roll Dublin half marathon -a good point to point run starting on the river and finishing in Phoenix park with a nice few hills included.

Rock n Roll always have some great medals,so many of took the opportunity to add to the medal collection by doing the 3K fun run.

Great weekend with great company

In the press

The MK Citizen, 30 July (page 77) has another great article on the Redway Runners.

Beat the Barge update

Almost time to start packing your goodie bags for BEAT THE BARGE and our event sponsors, Theresa and Sian, have dropped off some fantastic product samples and a discount voucher to go in them.

They will have a stall on the day, this Saturday, so bring along some pocket money and pick up a bargain!

Bravery Boxes, our charity of the year, will also be on hand Saturday to tell you all about the great work they do for children and hopefully raise a few pennies for a fantastic cause

Handicap Run 29 July 2015

We held the 50th running of the club handicap run on Thursday evening 29 July and had a brilliant 63 runners out  with Terry Griffiths the first person home and Ben Fairhall recorded the quickest time, well done!

Great to see lots of new runners to the event - hope you all enjoyed it! The run will return again in the evening at the end of September so keep your diaries free

Thanks to the helpers - Leigh, Ali, Mike, Carol, Ian and Deb....not forgetting Paul CJ roving round the course keeping everyone going the right way. We couldn't put these runs on without you so thanks again

Furzton Relay - Update

We have now paid all the bills (and subject to receiving one amount which we have been promised) we raised £1,050.30 from the Furzton Fun Relay a couple of weeks ago. This amount will be added to other amounts we raise this year and will be presented to the club charity of the year, which is Bravery Boxes this year.

We done to Andy Hully for organising and thanks to all those that helped and ran on the day in miserable conditions for a summers day
