Help prepare a new generation of ag leaders
Do you have professional experience that could help prepare an undergrad for success after Auburn? Please share it and help us strengthen the next generation of ag leaders through our Alumni Mentor Program. Applications for the 2015-16 program are now available at http://agriculture.auburn.edu/alumni/ag-alumni-mentoring-program/. Mentor applications are due by August 3, and mentors will be provided with their student mentee’s contact information by the end of September. This is a great way for alumni to give back to the college by making a difference in the professional development of our students. Because This is Auburn funding campaign in high gear

Because This is Auburn is a $1 billion campaign to propel Auburn University forward through a renewed commitment to our students, a continued promise to our state and a shared responsibility to the world. As part of the overall campaign, the College of Agriculture is committed to raising $51.4 million. The funds will increase by 50 percent the number of students in the college who receive scholarship assistance, create 13 endowed professorships to attract the best faculty in a field of study and $32.2 million to invest in improving our academic and research programs. Alumni spotlight: Bill Barrick
Bill Barrick, a 1968 and 1970 graduate of the College of Agriculture, is a nationally recognized leader in the field of public horticulture who, for the past two decades, has been at the helm of Bellingrath Gardens and Home near Mobile.

Spring luncheon a success
Successful Women in Agriculture hosted a spring luncheon Friday, April 24 at the Hotel at Auburn University. Successful female professionals and students enjoyed a floral arranging demonstration by Hillary Heath, public horticulture graduate student, and the presentation of the group's first-ever scholarship. Homecoming and Ag Roundup
Ag Heritage Park, Auburn, AL
Hosted by the Ag Alumni Association annually on homecoming Saturday, Ag Roundup and the Taste of Alabama draw thousands for food, fun and fellowship. It’s the biggest tailgate party on campus, featuring a smorgasbord of Alabama-grown foods. We'll have games for the kids and an auction benefiting the College of Agriculture scholarship program.

The first of an annual series of scholarship fundraisers will feature beverages from Alabama wineries, breweries and distilleries paired with pork dishes created by local chefs from Auburn University Meats Lab pork. Tickets will be $50 and will go on sale in August.
