Dear PRA Members:

No doubt we are living through strange times with rapid fire changes that create more and more uncertainty.  With the rise of the COVID-19 and resulting social distancing policies now in place, the PRA Board met (via telephone conference) last weekend to discuss options with respect to opening the pool on time.  At this time the Board plans to proceed with opening Memorial Day weekend as those members before us have done every year since the inception of the pool.

While it is our plan to proceed as if COVID-19 were not an issue, circumstances may require the Board to change our current plans and delay or cancel the pool season.  Please know whatever decisions are made by the Board are made under the guidance of the Center for Disease Control, World Health Organization, and our governmental officials.  In the event the pool season is delayed or cancelled the Board will take measures to ensure the pool can be properly maintained in its closed state while respecting our member’s payment of their annual dues.

Since we are moving forward as if we are going to open on time membership dues remain due and owing on or before April 15, 2020.  We understand the current work stoppages as a result of COVID-19 may create a financial hardship for some of our members. The Board will waive any late fees which would otherwise be assessed after April 15, 2020 and continue to do so until the pool opens, or it is stated otherwise.  Should additional measures need to be taken for a member as a result of a financial hardship the Board will consider the same on a case by case basis. Please do not hesitate to contact Luann Crowley at with any questions or concerns regarding payment of your annual dues.

Unless circumstances change, we plan to move forward with our workday on April 18, 2020.  Further, we are moving forward with staff interviews, please encourage interested lifeguards to apply regardless of whether their family is a PRA member.  We need lifeguards. In the meantime, the tennis courts, basketball court, playground and open space are available for use by Members. If you need the access code for the facilities, please contact a member of the Board.  If you use the facilities, please make sure the gates are locked and secured behind you when leaving.

Thank you for your patience as the Board navigates its way through the decisions that must be made in the coming weeks.  Please know any decisions made by this Board are made with the best interest of PRA in mind today and in the years to come.  Should you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact Paul Killian at or another member of the Board.

Stay healthy and safe!
