The PRA Board continues to monitor the ongoing COVID-19 numbers in our area along with guidance from our local officials. The overall goal of the Board this season is to keep the pool open and available for the use of its members through Labor Day. Due to the inability of the pool deck to accommodate the number of individuals attending weekly swim meets, while maintaining appropriate social distancing, the format of this week’s swim meet will change.
There will be 2 meets on Wednesday night this week. The first will be for all aged 10&under with warmup at 5:30 and meet start at 6:00 and conclude by 7:00. The second meet will be for 11&over with warmup at 7:15 and meet start at 7:45.
The pool deck will be cleared and marked for swimmers and their parents to set up chairs and socially distance themselves between swimmers events. We encourage all individuals to wear a mask when they are unable to practice social distancing, including when standing at the edge of the pool to cheer on their swimmer. At the conclusion of the meet, the Board will evaluate whether or not it is in the best interest of the organization as whole to proceed with the final meet of the season on July 22, 2020. In lieu of traditional concessions, a Chick-fil-A batch delivery will be offered for both sessions. The Snack Shack will also be open throughout the meet.
