Global Gaming Women – Driving Change From the Top

Global Gaming Women
(“GGW”), Harris Hagan and event sponsor, Reflex Gaming Limited, look forward to welcoming everyone to the gender diversity session at ICE on Wednesday 7 February 2018 at 2pm in the South Gallery Rooms, 13 & 14. The session, which is titled “driving the change from the top”, is becoming more topical by the day.

Our Managing Partner, John Hagan, will moderate the panel, which includes:

• Tracy Damestani, Chief Executive for the National Casino Forum (NCF) and Vice-Chair of the European Casino Association;
• Per Eriksson, CEO at NetEnt;
• Sarah Harrison, CEO of the British Gambling Commission;
• Sarah Sculpher, Chief Marketing Officer at Caesars; and
• Helen Walton, Co-Founder and Marketing Director of Gamevy.

Sarah Harrison will deliver GGW’s keynote speech on the benefits of diversity, driving the change from the top and the importance of diversity, across the board, from the Commission’s perspective, including its own initiatives with its own employees.

The panel discussion session will look at wider industry initiatives, including those spearheaded by some of the panellists. These include Tracey Damestani’s work with the Portas Institute to develop an educational framework for casino operators regarding barriers to women becoming board directors and NetEnt’s 50/50 by 2020 initiative.

Attendees will also hear about practical steps that should be taken by senior management and operators across all sectors to challenge gender stereotypes and champion gender diversity at all levels. Other key topics covered by the panel will include the state of the industry, commercial drivers, the impact on corporate governance, changing recruitment approaches, new initiatives and joining forces.

The schedule is as follows:

14:00 – Welcome by Global Gaming Women
14:15 – Keynote address
14:45 – Leadership panel: Driving the change from the top
15:45 – Networking drinks kindly sponsored by Reflex Gaming Limited

The event is free to attend and no sign-up is required.

Again, everyone is welcome to attend, as this issue is important for everyone, regardless of gender and those new to GGW.

The event is being organised by Bahar Alaeddini, GGW’s European representation, and run in partnership with Clarion, its Diversity & Inclusion in Gaming seminar, and the All-in Diversity Project. If you are interested in attending other GGW events or would like to help organise other events across Europe, please contact Bahar Alaeddini.
