Mountain View bans plastic foodware starting 2023

Starting 2023, all restaurants in Mountain View will be banned from providing plastic foodware per the city council foodware ordinance.

Every mosaic that artist Xuan My Ho creates tells a story, using vibrant colors and unusual yet fitting materials to add depth and dimension to her art. Ho is featured this month in The Main Gallery’s Light Play exhibit. The show, which runs from Oct. 5 to Nov. 21, focuses on light and the way it interacts with the art on display.

Getting a cheesecake from Basuku is like winning the lottery

Basuku Cheesecakes, founded by Chen, has gained a cult following during the pandemic and now boasts pop-ups in San Francisco, Oakland and Palo Alto as well as national shipping.
