Introducing the Women Deliver Humanitarian Advocates!

Today, Women Deliver announced five women-focused civil society organizations (CSOs) in Lebanon that have been selected to participate in the organization’s Humanitarian Advocates Program.

They are: the Lebanon Family Planning Association, Marsa Sexual Health Center, the Palestinian Women’s Humanitarian Organization, the Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering, and Women Now for Development.

Unsung Heroes

Women Deliver knows that women-focused CSOs are unsung heroes in humanitarian settings. They are frontline responders, community leaders, unwavering advocates, and so much more. The Humanitarian Advocates Program will provide five women-focused CSOs from Lebanon with training and speaking opportunities to help amplify their voice and impact, including at the Women Deliver 2019 Conference.

In Their Own Words

Each of the selected organizations lead efforts to help advance the health and rights of girls and women across Lebanon, including Syrian and Palestinian refugees. As a group, they have already driven tangible progress on a wide range of issues, including sexual and reproductive health and rights, LGBTQ+ rights, gender-based violence, and political participation.
