✍️ Join Our Call – Tell Leaders to Apply a Gender Lens to COVID-19

Now, more than ever, as we face the challenge of COVID-19, it is clear that governments and civil society must come together to rebuild a healthier, more gender-equal future. Our collective effort to apply a gender lens to COVID-19 is key not only to an effective response, but also to long-term recovery, and progress across every measure of development.

Members of the Deliver for Good Campaign call on governments to take the following actions to put girls, women, and gender equality at the center of COVID-19 preparedness, response, and recovery:

Require a gender lens in all guidance, programs, and investments related to COVID-19

Guarantee inclusive and diverse representation in decision-making and leadership for COVID-19 response and recovery

Uphold girls’ and women’s human rights in health – as providers and recipients of care

Maintain and expand critical gender-based violence services and interventions

Ensure sustained, equitable, and quality education during and after the COVID-19 pandemic

Support economic justice and resiliency for women

Gender equality cannot wait.
