This World Health Worker Week, we stand in solidarity with frontline health workers who put themselves on the line to prevent, detect, and respond to global health threats like COVID-19.

We know that investments in frontline health workers save millions of lives, enhance global health security, and result in tremendous economic and social returns.

That’s why Women Deliver is highlighting frontline health workers – including Women Deliver Young Leaders – throughout the week, and will co-host a webinar on the critical role of women in the health workforce.

Follow @Women Deliver@FHWCoalition, and the hashtag #WHWWeek and join us in honoring and advocating for the heroes working tirelessly to keep us healthy and safe, during COVID-19 and beyond.

How Young People are Leading
the Way Against COVID-19

As the world grapples with unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, young people are demonstrating their continued leadership in their communities and countries.

According to a new UN plan to address COVID-19, young people are some of the most affected by the pandemic’s socio-economic impacts. Nevertheless, youth are also among the most active in global responses.

From innovations in COVID-19 testing to social media campaigns promoting accurate information, read about some of the ways that Women Deliver Young Leaders are stepping up and taking action against the outbreak.
