The results are in and the evidence proves: Women who are better educated have fewer unplanned children, are less likely to marry early, and are more likely to drive national economic growth. To keep girls in school, we must invest in cross cutting solutions that eliminate harmful gender norms, elevate the voices of girls and women, and create safe and supportive learning environments.

A Case of the Young Womens’ Movement in Kenya

Susan Achieng is the founder of Inua Kike, a Nairobi based organization supporting young mothers to continue their education at a later age. After participating in Akili Dada's young leaders fellowship program she has gone on to promote the power of education in boosting self-esteem, creating economic opportunities, and helping women to become leaders within their communities.
