Reflections on a Year of Partnership in Action!

Integrate and collaborate to accelerate progress for girls and women. This was an often repeated phrase of the Deliver for Good Campaign in 2018 — indicative of our commitment to partnering across issues and sectors to advance gender equality in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Together, we have learned a lot about mobilizing partners around a shared vision — a better world for girls and women.

As we close out an action-packed year and dive into the year ahead, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on key highlights from our partnership in action throughout 2018.

CHANGING THE NARRATIVE

Key Moments
Five Fundamentals of Partnerships
We hosted round-table dialogues with a wide range of partners and supporters at the High-Level Political Forum. Together we identified 5 fundamental elements to meaningful work in cross-sector partnerships

MOBILIZING MULTI-SECTOR ALLIES

New Global Partners & Allies
This year we welcomed a new Advisory Group Partner – Mercy Corps – and several new ally organizations, helping to strengthen the broad-based network and Campaign expertise. See below for the newest members of the Campaign and check out the full list of our nearly 400 Partners HERE!
Calling All Advocates!
At the 62nd Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), Campaign Partners issued an open letter with a clear call to action urging organizations across sectors to affirm their commitment to girls and women living in rural communities. As a result, more than 75 new organizations joined the movement to Deliver for Good. View the open letter here.
Ready to Learn?
Campaign Partners piloted the Deliver for Good E-Course to further strengthen our resource bank for advocates and activists around the world. This digital learning course – publicly launching in 2019 will equip advocates with evidence, messaging, and case studies across all Campaign investment areas, to more effectively advocate for girls and women to be at the center of sustainable development.

INSPIRING CONCRETE ACTION
In 2018 the Campaign’s national advocacy work really came to life in Kenya and Senegal.

Launching Deliver for Good Kenya
This year, Partners identified a lead partner for Deliver for Good Kenya, formalized the Kenya coalition, and identified national policy priorities for collective action. With this foundation, the Campaign hosted a formal launch event coupled with an exciting visit from Deliver for Good Influencer, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark and gender equality champion, Minister Ulla Tørnæs, Minister for Development Cooperation of Denmark. Read more about the Kenya Campaign and explore the journey with us here.

Kicking Off Deliver for Good Senegal
Réseau Siggil Jigéen and Energy 4 Impact were selected to co-lead the Deliver for Good Senegal Campaign helping to demonstrate a powerful partnership in action.  In early November, they kicked off the collaboration with a three-day multi-stakeholder advocacy workshop to identify investment priorities. With more than 80 participants spanning government, civil society, youth-led organizations, and donors, partners identified three focus areas for the Campaign’s dedicated advocacy and communications efforts in Senegal: Ensure Health for All, Ensure Equitable and Quality Education at All Levels, and Accelerate Access to Resources – Land, Clean Energy, Water and Sanitation.
2019 - The Year Ahead
We look forward to seeing what this partnership can achieve in 2019 at the Women Deliver Conference and beyond! Together we can do more. Together we can Deliver for Good.

Deliver for Them. Deliver for All. Deliver for Good
