Highlights from Term 4 2021

Thank you to our wonderful instructors, volunteers and all the enthusiastic participants who made our November WELLvember programs such a great success on Zoom. So many benefits for our community's health and well-being!

On 9 December, we celebrated our 2021 students' achievements despite the inclement weather. GEALC was delighted to have The Deputy Mayor of Glen Eira, Councillor Li Zhang, and the State Member for Caulfield, David Southwick MP, to present the certificates to our wonderful and enthusiastic students. After months of online learning during Covid lockdowns, we were finally able to see, meet and greet all our 2021 students face to face when restrictions eased. It was so good to see all the smiling faces!
CONGRATULATIONS everyone ..... we are so proud of your efforts!

We are very excited to welcome Nicki, Ruth and Cathrin to our fantastic team!

Nicki is teaching our EAL Beginners programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I am a long term EAL teacher who loves an adventure at any time in and outside of the classroom. I'm passionate about teaching literacy and pronunciation.

Ruth is our Compliance Officer!
Hi I’m Ruth. I’ve had a long career as a teacher first in primary schools and later in my career, with adults.   I’m very interested in how organisations work as well, so I’m excited to join the team at GEALC in the role of Compliance Officer. In my spare time I love to read, do yoga, pottery, play bridge (a card game) and walk, but most of all I’m really looking forward to dancing again with my husband!

Cathrin is our Communications Officer!
I am the Comms Officer at GEALC and I am passionate about design, social media and meeting new people in the community! I am a second language speaker, a Glen Eira resident and I have a cat and over 100 houseplants.
