It was so fantastic to see so many of you at our Multicultural Festival yesterday. There was such a beautiful atmosphere there - we all enjoyed the music, the dancing, the good company and of course, the food!
While we watch the devastation in Ukraine and the ongoing hardship for flood-affected people in New South Wales and Queensland, it is important to look after our mental health and wellbeing. Events like the Multicultural Festival are an opportunity to join with others to CELEBRATE the DIVERSITY in our COMMUNITY. To celebrate our difference and our common values. To show RESPECT, and to BUILD CONNECTIONS. Such events make us feel good, feel like we BELONG and give us HOPE for the future.
We were so pleased to have Hon Tim Wilson MP, Member for Goldstein as well as representatives of Glen Eira Council, Brotherhood of St Lawrence NDIS, Monash Health, Sandringham Ambulatory Care Centre and Jobs Victoria Advocates join us at the Festival. We thank them all for coming and for providing important information and referrals.
