It is so wonderful to see your smiling faces back in our centre!

Check out the many different courses we have on offer at GEALC. You might like to gain more computer skills, learn about Early Childhood Education, understand the MYOB Accounting system or join our Friendship Garden wellbeing group! You can still register but BE QUICK!

Next week we have Nissim, one of our local Victorian Jobs Advocates coming to GEALC. If you would like to chat with him about work, study, life opportunities and options, he will be available from 12.00pm-1.00pm on Wednesday 4 May at GEALC. Hap will be joining us the following week on Tuesday 11 May from 11.30am-1.00pm.


Don't forget we have our Neighbourhood House Week Afternoon Tea on Wednesday 11 May - let's get together to celebrate our community!  And also coming up is the GEALC Cancer Council's Biggest Morning Tea on Thursday May 26 - let's enjoy a morning tea together and raise important funds for cancer research. More details below!

Please note that for the safety of all our students and staff, GEALC continues to recommend masks in our classrooms.
ATAGI RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A 4th DOSE OF COVID VACCINE

ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) recommends an additional booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine to increase vaccine protection before winter for selected population groups who are at greatest risk of severe illness from COVID-19 and who have received their primary vaccination (2 doses) and first booster dose (3rd jab). These groups are:

  • Adults aged 65 years and older
  • Residents of aged care or disability care facilities
  • People aged 16 years and older with severe immunocompromise (as defined in the  ATAGI statement on the use of a 3rd primary dose of COVID-19 vaccine in individuals who are severely immunocompromised)
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 50 years and older.

Doctors and health professionals are encouraging the Flu Vaccine for this coming winter season.
