I am preparing for Season 3 of the Living on the Edge of Chaos podcast show. Season 3 will be a brand new experiment in which I want to chat with educators nominated by others who are doing great things that need to be shared. Do you have any suggestions of people that I should contact? Let me know

Are you ready for this new format?

This newsletter is a new experiment. I am going to be creating a podcast to go along with the newsletter. It has been quite difficult, but has really narrowed my focus and thoughts. It also forced me to really think about what is important enough to not only share, but to speak about.

Please listen the podcast, check the links, and let me know what you think of this format.

I scored Foo Fighter tickets this week for Wrigley Field. The same time I watched this 60 minutes piece and who know I would learn so much from these 12 minutes that applied to my life and education.

I ran across this 3D build of a LEGO Action Figure body and I just had to print one off and then make something. This is another example of the power of being able to produce in your own location on your own terms.

"Americans need to learn how to discover. Being dumb in the existing educational system is bad enough. Failing to create a new way of learning adapted to contemporary circumstances might be a national disaster. The good news is, some people are working on it."

On another level of education thought is this post by Lisa Nielsen about digital footprints for both students and educators. I really want to focus on educators because I don't think enough are aware of the power of digital footprints to bridge the gap in the classroom.

What I Learned This Week

I learned that I am not alone in these thoughts of trying to find that balance of work, being a father, husband, friend, etc. This article about dating differences between parents and non-parents is not only humorous, but spot on! Poop under your fingernails....I remember the days!
